Premix Industries (SPI) Mumbai has emerged as a trailblazer in the construction

products since its establishment in 2016. We sat down with Mr. Yuvraj P. Patil,
the visionary Proprietor of SPI, to discuss his journey, the company's growth,

What inspired the establishment of “Shree Premix
Industries,” and how does your experience shape its mission?
Mr. Patil: The journey of “Shree Premix
Industries began in 2016, fuelled by my Versatile 28 years of experience in Civil engineering
i.e. from managing on-site construction projects to spearheading prefab and
precast system, innovations, I developed a deep understanding of the challenges
in the industries when use different technologies for Constructions after
establishment of plant also along with earlier
experience spanning AAC block plants, dry mortar setups, R&D, and
QA/QC, Marketing, Business Development, Administration inspired me to create
SPI as a solutions-driven enterprise. Our mission is to provide technical
solutions to construction companies who used different types of construction
technologies i.e Conventional method, Prefab /Precast technologies /Mivan
technologies with cost-effective, eco-friendly and reliable products that
ensure strength and durability with economy in every project.
Can you provide us the
overview of SPI’s growth and product innovation since its inception?
Mr. Patil: We started with just five
innovative products in 2016, and today, our portfolio boasts over 28 Nos
Specialized product offering. These products cater to a wide spectrum of
projects, including residential, commercial, industrial, mass housing, and
government infrastructure. Our focus has always been on delivering quality, and
this has earned us the trust of over 345 projects nationwide, including
projects of CIDCO, MHADA, MCGM, Nava Bharat Mega developers Pvt Ltd and Various
esteem organizations situated all over India.
From
a modest production capacity of 10000kg per shift, we’ve scaled to an
impressive 150000 kg per shift. This growth is driven by meticulous planning,
state-of-the-art technical facilities, and a skilled team dedicated to
innovation and excellence.
How does SPI tailor its products to meet site-specific
construction challenges?
Mr. Patil: Every site presents unique
challenges, and SPI thrives on developing products that address these
conditions if required. Our solutions are the result of rigorous R&D,
in-house testing, and third-party NABL lab validations. This ensures our
products are not only user- and Eco-friendly but also highly efficient. For
instance, products like Shree E Plast EPA+, Shree E Plast+(FC) M 50 / 60 +,
Shree E Tile Bond++ and Shree E Micro Concrete+ / Shree E Plast+(M20/M30) are
designed for multifunctional applications, providing significant time and cost
savings for our clients.
Can you highlight some of SPI’s standout products and
their cost-saving benefits?
Mr. Patil: Yes! Some of our unique
and special properties signature products include:
1) Unique and Special Properties levelling material to
avoid flooring problems in futures : Shree E Bed Morter+:
Polymer modified, Pre-Blended, High strength and Hydrophobic property (Water
Proof) bed mortar for levelling the floor surface before fixing the tiles to
avoid hollowness, Porosity, debonding & leakages through the bedding.
2) Adhesive manufactured as per IS 15477:2019: CM/L

on date, our Solutions-based Products are utilized in over 345 Nos large-scale
projects, with 2-5 products commonly used at each site. This widespread
acceptance underscores the versatility and efficiency of our offerings.
What trends and challenges are shaping the construction
chemicals industry, and how is SPI responding?
Mr. Patil: A concerning trend is the
focus on cost-cutting at the expense of quality, which compromises product
performance. At SPI, we address this by prioritizing quality through innovative
formulations and extensive testing. Additionally, we observe an increasing
demand for eco-friendly and efficient solutions, which aligns with our mission
to develop sustainable products that meet modern construction needs.
Considering our all-special Eco friendly, sustainable properties, Green
building material. Maximum energy, material, water ,less transport movement
,less emission of Co2 hence our products are certified by IGBC and GRIHA.
What are SPI’s future and its vision for the industry?
Mr. Patil: Looking ahead, SPI aims to
introduce new 6 to8 Nos of Specialized products currently in advanced R&D
stages. These innovations will address emerging challenges in the industry,
ensuring faster adoption and enhanced project outcomes. Our broader vision is
to contribute to national growth by supporting rural and urban infrastructure
development with eco-conscious and high-performing solutions.
Do you have advice for construction stakeholders on
choosing the right construction chemical products?
Mr. Patil: Our advice for buyers are
that they should look beyond the prices of the products They shall evaluate the Special product properties developed , raw materials
used, chemicals used, coverage / packing practically and site-specific
compatibility. Choose manufacturers who provide you all types of technical
support, training, and consistent quality assurance along with quick delivery
& best track record of performance of the products as well as saving in the
cost of water required for mixing, Curing ,Labour ,Charges & less quantity
required compare to other .These factors are crucial in achieving long-lasting,
