Syrma SGS Elemaster Opens Advanced High-Reliability Electronics Facility in Bengaluru
New 20,000 sq. ft. manufacturing plant strengthens
India–Italy industrial collaboration and supports critical electronics
applications across railways, energy, industrial and medical sectors
Syrma
SGS Technology and Italy-based Elemaster Group have inaugurated a
state-of-the-art high-reliability electronics manufacturing facility in
Bengaluru through their joint venture, Syrma SGS Elemaster Private Limited.
Located
in the Bommasandra Industrial Area, the new 20,000 sq. ft. facility has
been developed to serve customers operating in sectors where product quality,
engineering precision and manufacturing reliability are critical.
The plant
is equipped with advanced Surface Mount Technology, Through-Hole Technology
and box-build assembly lines. These integrated capabilities will enable the
joint venture to support complex electronics manufacturing requirements across
railways and transportation, industrial electronics, energy and medical
electronics.
Supporting Domestic and Global OEMs
The new
facility represents an important milestone in the joint venture’s strategy to
build advanced electronics manufacturing capabilities in India. It will serve
both domestic and international customers while supporting global original
equipment manufacturers seeking high-quality, high-reliability production
capabilities in the country.
The
partnership combines Syrma SGS Technology’s large-scale manufacturing
operations, established Indian supply-chain network and cost-efficient
execution with Elemaster’s experience in electronic design, engineering and
high-reliability manufacturing.
Elemaster’s
established relationships with European and global OEMs are also expected to
help the joint venture expand its international customer base.
The
inauguration was attended by Dr. Giandomenico Milano, Consul General of
Italy in Bengaluru, along with senior representatives from Syrma SGS,
Elemaster, customers and other stakeholders. His presence highlighted the
growing importance of industrial and technological collaboration between India
and Italy.
Combining Manufacturing Scale with Engineering
Expertise
Valentina
Cogliati, CEO, Elemaster S.p.A., described India as an important and expanding
market for the company and its global customers.
“By
combining Elemaster’s engineering, technology and high-reliability
manufacturing expertise with Syrma SGS’s scale and strong presence in India, we
can create an effective platform for serving both existing and new customers,”
she said.
“We see
significant long-term potential in India and are pleased to build this journey
together with Syrma SGS,” Cogliati added.
Sandeep
Tandon, Executive Chairman, Syrma SGS Technology Limited, said the facility supports the
company’s vision of establishing India as a globally competitive centre for
high-reliability electronics production.
“As
global supply chains evolve, India has a significant opportunity to move beyond
scale and build capabilities in areas where reliability, quality and
engineering depth are critical,” he said.
“Through
this joint venture, we are creating a platform that can serve Indian and
international customers while contributing to the broader ‘Make in India’
ambition,” Tandon added.
Integrated Manufacturing Capabilities
Jasbir
Singh Gujral, Managing Director, Syrma SGS Technology Limited, said the facility strengthens
the company’s ability to serve customers across high-reliability market
segments.
“With
SMT, THT and box-build capabilities under one roof, the facility provides an
integrated platform to support complex electronics manufacturing requirements
across railway, industrial and medical applications,” he said.
Gujral
added that combining Syrma SGS’s manufacturing strengths with Elemaster’s
engineering and technological capabilities would help deliver greater value to
customers while developing globally relevant manufacturing solutions from
India.
The
inauguration programme included institutional addresses, a presentation on the
joint venture facility, a tree-plantation ceremony, the official unveiling and
guided visits to the plant and production floor.
The
facility represents another step in the development of India’s electronics
manufacturing ecosystem, particularly for applications demanding strict process
control, engineering expertise and consistent quality.
Through
the Bengaluru plant, Syrma SGS Elemaster aims to establish an integrated
platform covering engineering, manufacturing and high-reliability electronics
while delivering globally competitive, Made-in-India solutions for critical end
markets.
