Do Ammann compactors really eliminate passes? Customer Avinash Bhartia certainly believes so.
Avinash Bhartia is the Director of Bhartia Infra Projects Ltd. (BIPL) in Ulubari, Guwahati, India. Among his comments in a letter of satisfaction to the Ammann Apollo team:
• BIPL is able to achieve the compaction in fewer passes, “which is resulting in overall savings in diesel/fuel cost,” Bhartia wrote.
• “Our operator is also very comfortable driving the ARS 121 Soil Compactor as there is no vibration felt on the operator seat, resulting in less operator fatigue.” He added that the operator therefore can use the compactor for longer periods.
• “The machine has excellent traction in climbing gradients because of the direct-drive concept on the wheels,” he wrote.
