Geosynthetic Clay Liners (GCLs) are factory manufactured hydraulic barriers consisting of a layer of bentonite or other very low-permeability material supported by geotextiles and/or geomembranes, mechanically held together by needling, stitching, or chemical adhesives. Due to environmental laws, any seepage from landfills must be collected and properly disposed of, otherwise contamination of the surrounding ground water could cause major environmental and/or ecological problems. Several forma of GCL are manufactured depending upon the situations, porosity conditions and hazard levels.

Ashapura is the largest producer of Geosynthetic Clay liner (GCL) in India with a capacity of more than 10 million square meters. Our state of Art manufacturing facility of GCL is located in Bhuj (near Mundra port), Kutch Gujarat. It is very near to Mundra port and well connected with roadways enabling seamless transportation possibilities all over India and for international destinations. Our manufacturing facility is within Ashapura's mineral complex and we use our best quality sodium bentonite for manufacturing GCL.

Since inception our GCL is extensively used in several projects in India and in international destinations and used in various capacities and application areas. Our GCL along with our other environmental products are well suited for areas of Landfill, Canal lining , Agriculture, fishery, forest, check dams, Solid waste management, Power plant waste management, Nuclear waste managements, oil tank farms including delicate water proofing applications.

Our range of GCL's are manufactured under the brands of Ecoklay and Geoklay  cater to specific needs of environmental ,technical & commercial requirements and have been used in several private , industrial and Government projects successfully.

Our Ecoklay bars are exclusively sold for specifically Construction joint sealing, retaining wall, metro canal sealing, water canal sealing etc.  They are available in different sizes and colours depending upon the application areas and salinity.
