The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has introduced "rapid road technology." The civic body is embedding prefabricated concrete slabs (20 feet long and 5 feet wide) on the road as part of the pilot project. The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) wants to white-top 39 additional roads in the city, totaling 114.46 kilometres. The project, which is expected to cost Rs. 1449 crores, will be the third and most expensive phase of white-topping.
