Patel Engineering Limited (PEL), in collaboration with its joint venture (JV) partner, has been granted a letter of award by NHPC Ltd for the civil works of Lot-4 within the Dibang multipurpose project situated in Arunachal Pradesh. This engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract encompass a range of components including the construction of headrace tunnels, intake structures, pressure shafts, penstocks, powerhouses, transformer caverns, tailrace tunnels, pothead yards, adits, and associated infrastructure for the project. The Dibang Multipurpose Project, with a capacity of 2880 MW (12 X 240 MW), holds a total value of Rs 3,637.12 crore. Patel Engineering's 50 percent partnership in the JV corresponds to an investment of Rs 1,818.56 crore. The anticipated timeline for the civil construction company to complete the project's execution is 86 months from the commencement date.
