BEML BD50 Dozer in rescue & relief operations at Uttarakhand
The local authorities are extensively using BEML's BD50 Dozers and proving its usefulness in search, rescue, and relief operations at the site of the recent glacier burst at the Tapovan Hydel Project tunnel in Uttarakhand, Chamoli district.
BEML BD 50 PAT dozers are deployed in large numbers by the district administration for providing the round-the-clock rescue and relief service to help the people in distress. BEML continuously offering round clock service support for these dozers so that relief operations can be completed at the earliest.
Designed and developed by BEML's in-house R&D team, BD50 Dozer is a truly Atmanirbhar product. These dozers are fitted with a 90 HP engine and Power Angling & tilting blade.
These Dozers were supplied to the various regiment of the Indian Army and Government agencies which are presently working at an ambient temperature of -20 to +55 degrees and at an altitude of 3500 meters above MSL.
It may be recalled that BEML dozers are working in strategic locations such as Leh, Kargil, Tawang Ghati, Arunachal Pradesh, Karponang, Sikkim closer to the China border.
