The Cabinet Committee on
Economic Affairs, led by PM Modi, has approved ₹7,927 crore for three railway
projects adding 639 km to the Indian Railways network. Covering Maharashtra,
Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh, these projects will decongest key routes and
benefit 38 lakh people across 1,319 villages. Aligned with PM-Gati Shakti, the
initiatives will enhance multi-modal connectivity, improve access to religious
sites like Kashi Vishwanath and Trimbakeshwar, and promote tourism to
destinations like Ajanta & Ellora Caves. These projects mark a step towards
regional development, boosting employment and advancing the vision of
"Atmanirbhar Bharat.
