MoRTH Accelerates UER 2 Project, Slashes Delhi Airport Travel Time
The Union Road Transport Ministry is expediting the construction of Delhi's Urban Extension Road (UER) 2, significantly reducing travel time from Kundli to Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal 3 to just 20 minutes, down from the previous two hours. Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari revealed this at the 27th World Road Congress in Prague. UER 2, functioning as a ring road, aims to alleviate congestion for commuters heading to the airport and other city areas, with completion slated by year-end.
