Minister Jitendra Singh remarked India has world-class indigenous technology for road and highway development.
Union Minister of Science and Technology Jitendra Singh recently said that India now has world-class indigenous technology for building roads and motorways. The sectoral ministries aren't fully aware of the technology accessible to them. Therefore Singh has started a procedure where experts from various fields meet with members of each sectoral ministry to explain how best they can utilise the available technology.
The minister was speaking at a ceremony to present two pieces of CSIR (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research) equipment used in the most recent advancements in road and highway construction value additions.
V K Singh, the Minister of State for R&T, and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari took part in the official unveiling of the "Mobile Cold Mixer Cum Paver," which uses bitumen emulsion to create a black top layer, as well as the "Patch Fill Machine," which fills potholes in the road. According to Singh, S&T is making a significant contribution to the country's progress in the road transport and highways sector. Road and highway technology, according to Singh, is rapidly expanding the nation's arterial network because of its use of environmentally friendly, cost-effective, and recyclable materials.
According to him, India has taken the lead and is advancing rapidly in cutting-edge technology to outperform other emerging countries. That Science, Technology and Innovation would define India's rise in the future decades was also reaffirmed by him.
When Singh spoke of India's "Atmanirbhar Bharat" policy, he said the dedication of two pieces of equipment, a "Mobile Cold Mixer Cum Paver" and a "Patch Fill Machine" for pothole filling, both of which were made in India. According to the minister, the Cold Mixer and Patch Fill Machine will play a vital role in constructing roads and highways, especially in the North-East Region of the country.
