MIDC is working to include Nashik in the second stage of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC). MIDC CEO P Anbalagan said TOI urged the national industrial corridor development company to include Nashik in the second phase of the DMIC.

MIDC has selected land lots in and around Nashik. The district will get more land. Nashik's membership in DIMC's second phase would boost industrial development.

Nashik was not included in DMIC's first phase despite having enough water and land. The DMIC's initial phase encompassed Aurangabad, boosting industrial growth there.

AIMA members headed by president Nikhil Panchal visited Anbalagan in Mumbai and requested him to include Nashik in the project's second phase. MIDC officials stated that DMIC industrial regions would need enough water, and DMIC industries would need 24 MLD of water every day.

The DMIC aims to establish a solid economic basis with a globally competitive environment and modern infrastructure to boost local commerce, investments, and sustainable development. New DMIC cities will assist address urbanisation challenges and drive economic growth for 20-30 years
