Quality
The Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) is set to build tunnels along major city roads, including Chittaranjan Avenue, AJC Bose Road, and Gariahat Road. Mayor Firhad Hakim announced the Rs. 500 crore initiative, funded through financial bonds, to relocate underground utilities and prevent frequent disruptions. The move aims to streamline processes, eliminating the need for repeated road digging. After tunnel construction, the KMC roads department plans to concretize roads, ensuring enhanced quality and smoother travel experiences for motorists.
