In a significant move, the Ministry of Rural Development has approved Rs. 36.6 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) for improving rural road infrastructure in Ladakh's border regions, adjoining China and Pakistan. The allocation, designated for the fiscal year 2023-24, aims to construct a 500km rural road network during PMGSY's third phase. The funds will be utilized for building roads, bridges, district roads, and PMGSY roads in Ladakh's border areas, enhancing connectivity and development in the region.
