The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced a groundbreaking project to construct a Rs 5,500 crore elevated corridor from Mahim to Dahisar. Spanning 15.3 km, the corridor will feature innovative cable-stayed bridges and underpasses at key junctions. Existing flyovers will be dismantled to optimize space and create additional lanes beneath the bridges. The project will enhance traffic flow and connectivity, with a tendering process set to begin after government approval of the project report, expected in the coming months. This visionary elevated corridor will transform transportation infrastructure, accommodating 14 to 16 lanes and facilitating seamless movement for vehicles across Mumbai.
