April Through September, India's National Highway Building Speed Averaged 19.44 Kilometres Per Day.
The official data shows that the rate at which India is constructing national roads has virtually halved in the first six months of this financial year, from 37 kilometres per day in the fiscal year 2021 to only 19.44 kilometres per day so far.
Highway and expressway construction in India is largely under the purview of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (NHIDCL).
