₹2,800 Cr Approved for Road Projects in Tripura
The Ministry of Road
Transport and Highways (MoRTH) is set to approve ₹2,800 crore for vital road
infrastructure in Tripura. Key projects include ₹800 crore for the Agartala
Eastern Bypass and ₹1,500 crore for the widening of the Amtali-Tripura Sundari
Temple Road. Other developments include ₹400 crore for improving the Ranirbazar-ISBT
road and ₹100 crore under the Central Road Fund. Additionally, plans were
discussed for new national highways from Kamalpur to Gandacherra via Ambassa
and Amarpur to Sabroom, aiming to boost trade and tourism in the state.
