On August 25, 2024, a 100-meter steel bridge was launched near Silvassa as part of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train project. The 1,464 MT bridge, fabricated in Trichy, Tamil Nadu, was installed using a 600 MT launching nose to avoid intermediate supports, requiring over 82,000 specialized bolts. This marks the fourth of 28 planned steel bridges, highlighting India’s engineering capabilities and dedication to the "Make in India" initiative.
