The Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Corridor launches its first 100-meter steel bridge near Nadiad, Gujarat, showcasing India's "Make-in-India" initiative with Japanese collaboration. Fabricated in Bhuj, the 1486 MT bridge was assembled 15.5 meters above ground using automatic jacks. Key features include a 63-meter launching nose and adherence to Japanese corrosion protection standards. Supervised by international welding experts, each production batch underwent rigorous testing. This marks the second completed bridge of 28 planned for the corridor, spanning 60 to 230 meters. Approximately 70,000 MT of steel will be utilized across these structures, exemplifying India's infrastructure ambitions.
