Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has won a significant contract valued at ₹15,697 crores from the National High-Speed Rail Corporation (NHSRCL) for Package C-3 of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (MAHSR Bullet Train) project. The scope of work includes the construction of 135.45 km of double-line railway, viaducts, and bridges. The project aims to complete within 4.5 to 5 years and includes three elevated stations at Thane, Virar, and Boisar. Additionally, L&T will be responsible for maintaining depot tunnels and earth structures, connecting Shilphata-Zaroli in Maharashtra. A separate civil construction contract (Package-D1) will cover the construction of the Thane depot along the route.
