In a significant development, the Indian Railways has entered into a strategic partnership with the Indo-Russian joint venture, Kinet Railway Solutions. This collaboration involves the participation of Metrowagonmash (MWM) and Locomotive Electronic Systems (LES) from Russia, along with India's RVNL. Under the signed contract, the joint venture will manufacture 120 advanced Vande Bharat Trains. Notably, the deal also encompasses comprehensive maintenance services for these trains over a period of 35 years, ensuring a robust and sustainable railway infrastructure for India's future.
