Cluster 1 Handover Advances Mumbai’s Major Rehabilitation Housing Project

Capacit’e Infraprojects Limited, in a joint venture with Tata Projects Limited operating as TCC Construction, has handed over Towers B and C under Cluster 1 of the Worli BDD Chawl redevelopment project in Mumbai.

The two towers comprise 552 residential units. They follow the earlier handover of Towers D, E, F, G and H, which collectively contain 1,380 apartments. With the latest delivery, the joint venture has completed and handed over 1,932 homes within the redevelopment.

The multi-tower development is an important part of Mumbai’s urban renewal programme and demonstrates the application of modern engineering and construction practices in large-scale rehabilitation housing.

Modern Engineering for High Density Development

The Worli BDD Chawl redevelopment is being executed within a densely populated urban environment, requiring careful project planning, strict safety measures and coordinated construction activities.

The residential towers have been engineered to meet the requirements of high-density urban living while providing structural safety and long-term durability. The construction process incorporates advanced building methods intended to improve consistency, execution speed and overall project quality.

Capacit’e Infraprojects said the project challenges the traditional perception that affordable and rehabilitation housing must compromise on construction quality. The company has applied modern engineering practices, high-performance construction methods and structured quality-control systems throughout the development.

Multi Level Quality Checks Support Construction

Material testing and multi-stage quality checks have been undertaken across different phases of construction. These processes are intended to maintain consistency in materials, workmanship and structural performance.

The project also uses streamlined management systems and site-safety protocols to meet demanding construction schedules while operating within a heavily developed area of Mumbai.

As one of the principal construction partners working on the site, Capacit’e Infraprojects is using its technical and execution capabilities to translate the redevelopment plan into high-rise residential buildings for existing residents.

Focus Remains on Safe and Durable Homes

Commenting on the milestone, Rahul Katyal, Managing Director, Capacit’e Infraprojects Limited, said the handover of Towers B and C demonstrates that affordable housing can be constructed to high standards without compromising quality.

“Following the successful handover of Towers D, E, F, G and H by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis, our focus remains on delivering safe, durable and modern homes for the residents of Mumbai,” Katyal said.

He added that the project reinforces the company’s ability to execute complex, large-scale urban infrastructure and residential developments.

Strengthening Capabilities in Building Construction

Capacit’e Infraprojects provides end-to-end construction services for high-rise and super-high-rise residential buildings, townships, mass-housing developments, office complexes, IT parks, hospitality projects, healthcare facilities, industrial buildings and multi-level car parks.

Through the Worli BDD Chawl redevelopment, the company and its joint-venture partner are contributing to Mumbai’s effort to replace ageing residential infrastructure with safer and more durable homes.
