Texmaco Rail & Engineering Limited, one of India’s leading rail and infrastructure solutions providers, has secured a purchase order worth ₹64.06 crore from APL Logistics Vascor Automotive Pvt Ltd. for the manufacture and supply of specialised freight wagons.

The order involves the supply of rakes of ACT-1 wagons along with brake vans type BVCM, further reinforcing Texmaco Rail’s strong presence in the specialised freight rolling stock segment. This order win adds momentum to the company’s growing order book and highlights sustained demand for customised rail-based logistics solutions.

Under the scope of the contract, Texmaco Rail will manufacture and supply ACT-1 wagons and brake vans type BVCM, designed and built in accordance with the latest Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO) specifications. These wagons are engineered to enable the safe, efficient, and high-capacity transportation of finished automobiles and associated cargo, addressing the evolving requirements of India’s automotive and logistics sectors.

The ACT-1 and BVCM wagons represent a new generation of specialised rolling stock focused on improving operational efficiency, asset utilisation, and cargo safety. With increasing emphasis on faster turnaround times and reliable freight movement, such wagons play a critical role in supporting modern supply chains, particularly for high-value finished goods.
