Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) Corridor's key segment at Sahibabad RapidX station in Uttar Pradesh. The Rs 30,000 crore project introduces India's first RRTS, linking Sahibabad to Duhai Depot. Operating at speeds of up to 160 kmph, the system ensures high-frequency trains every 15 minutes, cutting travel time between Delhi and Meerut to less than an hour. Covering pivotal stations including Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai, and Duhai Depot, this development enhances regional connectivity, revolutionizing the way commuters travel.
