JSW Infrastructure has unveiled plans to significantly expand container capacity at the New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT) in Karnataka. With an estimated investment of Rs 152 crore, the company aims to augment the cargo capacity from 240,000 to 400,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) through a series of modernization initiatives by its subsidiary, JSW Mangalore Container Terminal Private Limited. This expansion project highlights JSW Infrastructure's dedication to bolstering container operations and catering to the growing demands at the port, ultimately contributing to the region's economic development.
