India is leading the world's largest planned urbanization initiative, allocating over Rs 18 lakh crore for urban development since 2014, as announced by Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri during the CITIIS 2.0 launch. The program focuses on addressing climate change challenges through innovations like Swachh Bharat Mission and Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation. Priorities include water security, waste management, and fostering a circular economy in urban areas. Minister Puri also underscores India's commitment to achieving a $40 trillion economy by 2047.
