Shree Cement Ltd has achieved 1 GW of installed power capacity by commissioning a 19.5 MW solar plant in Andhra Pradesh. The company’s power mix includes solar, wind, thermal, and waste heat recovery, with renewables now making up 499 MW, nearly 50% of total capacity. Shree Cement’s 244 MW waste heat recovery capacity is among the highest globally in the cement industry. Investing ₹4,000 crore so far, the company plans to add 202 MW of renewable capacity in FY25 with a further ₹1,000 crore investment, expanding solar, wind, and waste heat recovery across multiple states.
