REC Limited partners with Chenab Valley Power Project Private Limited (CVPPPL) to finance the 624 MW Kiru Hydro Electric Project in Jammu & Kashmir with a term loan of ₹1,869.265 crores. The project, situated in Kishtwar district along the Chenab River, involves the construction and operation of a run-of-river scheme comprising a 135-meter-high dam and an underground powerhouse hosting four 156 MW units.
