L&T Will Construct NCPIL’s Next Nuclear Plant.
Larsen & Toubro is the lowest bidder for an EPC contract from Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) for the Nuclear Island electro-mechanical works of the Gorakhpur Haryana Anu Vidyut Pariyojana – 1&2 (GHAVP 1&2).
The deal is worth $2500 million. L&T will design, purchase, build, and commission nuclear equipment, valves, nuclear ventilation, plant water package, and piping for the Nuclear Island of GHAVP1&2.
The project will take 48 months. In February, L&T's construction arm won a 2,500-crore contract to build two Kudankulam NPCIL reactors.
