J&K Finance Department was felicitated today by Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs, for its contribution to the development of infrastructure projects in the state. The dedication of the Jammu and Kashmir Infrastructure Development Finance Corporation (JKIDFC) to the development of key infrastructure across the state of J&K was especially appreciated.

The J&K Finance Department was congratulated for its contribution to the development of infrastructure projects in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. According to an official spokeswoman, the Jammu and Kashmir Infrastructure Development Finance Corporation (JKIDFC) was singled out for particular recognition for its considerable contribution to the development of vital infrastructure throughout the length and width of the state of Kashmir.

Consider that the Finance Department supported infrastructure projects last year, and over 50,000 projects were completed, but the JKIDFC completed 1300 projects in less than two years, according to the Department of Finance.

In recognition of their efforts, M.Y. Itoo, Director General of Budget, and Shafat Yehya, Joint Director, Budget/General Manager, JKIDFC, both got a certificate from the Minister on behalf of their respective departments.

It is important to note that the JKIDFC has funded 2357 projects with a total value of Rs 2270.079 crore over the last two years, and has acquired a loan of Rs 2500 crore to complete all of the projects on time.
