Excon is projected to attract more than 1,000 attendees!
From 17 to 21 May in Bengaluru, Excon, South Asia's biggest construction equipment and construction technology trade event will feature some of the newest innovations in the sector, including the Internet of Things (IoT), telematics, machine learning, and embedded systems. A statement in this respect was made last week during a roadshow in Mumbai.
The trade show, themed "Building India for a New World: Competitiveness, Growth, Sustainability, and Technology," is expected to draw over 1000 exhibitors from India and abroad, including the United States of America, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, South Korea, Singapore, and Sri Lanka. The organisers stated that the festival would include new display categories for the first time, including electric cars and alternative fuels.

stated during the roadshow, "Excon will demonstrate the importance of
smart technologies and innovation in India's infrastructure development in
order to achieve the vision of India becoming the global hub for construction
equipment manufacturing by 2030."
India is the world's third-biggest market for construction equipment, and recent developments such as the Rs 111 lakh billion National Infrastructure Pipeline (NIP) project are providing further momentum to the industry. By 2030, he noted, the Construction Equipment sector is estimated to reach a value of USD 25 billion.
Deepak Garg, a member of the Excon steering committee and Managing Director of Sany Heavy Industry India, stated that the Union Budget's allocation of Rs 20,000 crore for PM Gati Shakti, the multi-modal connectivity for states with a focus on roads, railways, airports, ports, and waterways, as well as the expansion of 25,000 kilometres of national highways in 2022-23, would provide a significant boost to infrastructure development in the country.
Ranjit Manjarekar, VP (Asset management) of Tata Projects, a renowned industrial infrastructure business, said during a panel discussion at the roadshow that developmental work is presently underway on projects such as Gatishakti.
"Things are moving extremely quickly at the ground level today," Manjarekar said, emphasising that the government would immediately begin allocating the necessary finances.
