Telangana Pushes for Warangal Airport Revival with ₹205 Cr Boost
The Telangana government
has allocated ₹205 crore to acquire over 280 acres for revamping Mamnoor
Airport in Warangal, with a vision to accommodate A-320 aircraft. The project
gained traction following a 'No Objection Certificate' from GMR Group. An
additional 253 acres is required for the ambitious master plan. The Airports
Authority of India (AAI) has urged the state for swift land transfers to ensure
timely project execution. Once completed, the airport is expected to enhance
regional connectivity and boost economic growth in the region.
