NHSRCL Completes Civil Packages for MAHSR in Maharashtra
The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) achieves a major milestone by awarding the last Civil Package (C3) for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (MAHSR) in Maharashtra. This package comprises a 135-km long alignment with seven tunnels and the longest bridge in the MAHSR corridor over the Vaitarna river. NHSRCL has now awarded all 11 Civil Packages for the 508 km long MAHSR corridor, featuring 465 km long viaducts, 12 HSR stations, 3 rolling stock depots, 28 steel bridges, 24 river bridges, and 9 tunnels, including the remarkable 7 km long undersea tunnel—the first-ever tunnel beneath the sea.
