When the jobsite goes extreme
When the local authority announced a new road project with a big portion of it (12 kms) located at the very high altitude of 14500 feet from Sea Level, with very minimum access, it became suddenly clear that it was going to be an extreme jobsite.
The shortest distance of the crusher site from the road project site was approximately 45 kms. But the major concerns was that the area was not at all well connected. Plying of vehicles in wet road was about impossible.
Another challenge was the availability of aggregate in that remote place during the time of rain and snow, which is there for the major portion of the year. During dry time, the transportation cost was coming very high as there was no good approach road.
Considering all these challenges, not many bidders were ready to participate in the project.
Prior to participating in this prestigious project, a customer of ours that had successfully met their aggregates requirement with the help of MB Crusher Bucket BF90.3 for their road project of 8kms, realised that they had an upper edge with MB's technology.
MB Crusher units are in fact designed specifically to perform under toughest of environmental / geological conditions.
They started bidding for the project and eventually won the tender to undertake this road construction project.
After securing the work, they started sourcing boulders from the surrounding area and were having huge pile of hill rock readily available and next to the project site.
They started crushing hill rock and river rock directly at site, thus eliminating their dependency on third party aggregate supplier as well as saved on the transportation cost.
Upon seeing the results in the previous project, they had decided to purchase 2 bucket crushers, model BF90.3, for this project.
On the back of their purchase decision towards MB, they were able to successfully meet their GSB 63mm down and WMM 40mm down requirements with the help of MB crusher bucket and were able to complete the project ahead of the anticipated deadline.
