Mr Arvind Garg is Equipment India Person of the Year

In the midst of platinum jubilee of L&T Construction & Mining Machinery, here comes the great news that our captain has been felicitated by the industry. 

Mr. Arvind K Garg, Executive Vice-President & Head, L&T Construction & Mining Machinery, has been honoured with ‘Equipment India Person of the Year 2021’ award by Mr. Pradeep Singh, Former Advisor (Infra) to J&K Government and Mr. Pratap Padode, Founder-President, First Construction Council on October  2022 in Mumbai in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the Construction Equipment Industry.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Garg lauded the collective efforts of industry captains in shaping the infrastructure needs of the nation. He said L&T had been at the forefront of the Construction Equipment Industry for 75 years and bringing in latest technologies to address the gap and realize India’s vision to become an advanced country in terms of infrastructure.

With nearly 4 decades of association with the Construction & Mining Equipment Industry, Mr. Garg has worked closely from L&T with the global majors like Komatsu-Japan and Scania-Sweden, to usher in world-class technologies and products in the Indian market. He is championing the cause of digitalization and  spearheading L&T’s active role in product indigenization paving the way for Atmanirbhar Bharat.

Mr. Garg was Past President of the Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers Association (ICEMA). He is presently the Chairman of Infrastructure Equipment Skill Council (IESC) providing impetus for industry-specific skills.
