From Waste to Value: building a township with a Crusher Bucket
The successful
implementation of a BF90.3 Crusher Bucket and Sany SY220 excavator as an efficient
basalt recycling solution, on a construction site located within the city
limits.
This construction project
takes us directly to the heart of Dombivli, Maharashtra, where a complex of
commercial and residential buildings and malls is in full construction: Sai
World Dream Project is going to be a magnificent township, an impressive project that puts together towers containing luxury
residences, commercial parks and high street retail spaces as well as other
amenities such as a libraries, shops, playgrounds, bar and cafés, business
centers and more.
Our esteemed customer, Bhoomi Earthmovers Pvt Ltd, has a long
history and expertise in construction and civil engineering and therefore is
aware that such a construction jobsite may come with challenges to tackle,
especially being  located inside of a
urban environment.
Starting from the strict
schedules for jobsite completion, the waste management and traffic, the environmental
pollution, the noise and dust control and city restrictions, many are the
difficulties that could undermine or slow down operations.
In this specific case, the
excavation process brought to surface a significant
amount of basalt rocks and boulders, which would have been considered waste
material to manage, inside of a urban context. In other words, costly and time
consuming operations.
In fact, due to city
restrictions, they weren’t able to establish a crusher plant at site and the
whole transporting the basalt material to a distant crusher and back to the
site would have considerably raised
costs.
The alternative to
purchase material directly from the market, rendering the excavated basalt
waste, didn’t look much more competitive:Â
due to all the trucks in and out from the jobsite transporting the
materials, operations would be costly, slower due to traffic jam, and from an
environmental standpoint, not even ecologically friendly.
But what if there was a
way to bring a powerful crusher into the jobsite? Not a regular one, something lighter, faster, smarter.
Something that Bhoomi
Earthmovers Pvt Ltd already possessed in his fleet.
Our customer proposed his
client to use its powerful combination
of BF90.3 Crusher Bucket and Sany SY220 excavator to manage the basalt rocks,
and it appeared to be the ideal solution to tackle this task and contain costs
while easing the operations at the same time.
Soon in fact, the Sany
SY220 HEX and BF90.3 Crusher Bucket proved
to be a perfect match for efficiently processing the excavated basalt rock.
With its robust design
and advanced crushing technology, the BF90.3 Jaw Crusher effectively reduced
the excavated boulders to the desired 60 mm output size, converting the waste material into reusable aggregate directly on-site. This way customer
could save time and money on transportation costs, new material’s cost and turn
the waste basalt into a valuable
resource for the project. Â
Additionally, the
successful implementation of the BF90.3 Crusher Bucket opened up new project
opportunities for our client, as they gained
a competitive edge in the field of building construction.
By leveraging this innovative solution, the Company effectively
managed the basalt rock waste, allowing to streamline
the processing time and to meet the requirements while optimizing productivity: a perfect example of the power of advanced
machinery and sustainable practices in the building construction industry, for a more innovative and environmentally
responsible jobsite approach.
Now, back to work: time
to build the township!
