With the dream of a 20 something young man - one of the youngest entrepreneurs in construction equipment industry in India - with a vision to create nation’s biggest construction equipment manufacturing conglomerate; the journey of Mr. Mitul Patel began in the early years of 21st century.

After finishing his B.E. (Electronics) from Pennsylvania State University, he went on to join his family business in India. Under the guardianship of his father Mr. Ajit Patel his career at their road construction equipment manufacturing units in the hometown of Mehsana (North Gujarat) began in the year 2003.

However, his aspiration was different. He wanted to carve his own path and not only replicate the success story of his previous generation but also give an extra edge and innovation to the products he wanted to manufacture and sell. Armed with an engineering degree and hands-on experience, he was geared up to take the plunge in relatively unknown waters of Concrete Equipment Manufacturing.  With help of his father he floated the company called Apollo Inffratech Pvt. Ltd. (AIPL) in the year 2008 with the state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. 

Apollo Inffratech has built innumerous batching plants of various capacities working satisfactorily in every parts of the country, even in Nepal, Afghanistan, Africa, Sri Lanka, Israel and Middle East. Business grew in leaps and bounds. Opened branches, service & spare-hubs and established dealership network all across the country.

The vision of providing complete concrete equipment solutions prompted him to have a foreign collaboration for various concrete equipment. In the year 2011-12, the first joint venture company was established with world’s leading Concrete Pipe making machine manufacturer Hawkeye Pedershaab (USA) called Apollo Hawkeye Pedershaab Concrete Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (AHCT).  Within couple of years one more JV was announced with Metalgalante, Italy - world leader in self loading mixers called Apollo Carmix Equipments Pvt. Ltd [ACEL].  AHCT did a technical collaboration with MBK, Germany a world leader in manufacturing cage welding machines for concrete pipes in the year 2013.  Seeing big opportunity in paver block business, Apollo Inffratech entered into yet another JV company with Zenith – one of the largest manufacturers of Automatic Block Making Machines called Apollo Zenith Concrete Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (AZCT) in 2017.

He credits his maternal uncle, Mr. Kiran Patel, one of the directors of Apollo Inffratech Group in helping him collaborating with all the foreign partners. 

In the meantime, he also kept himself updated and enrolled himself in the world-renowned Harvard Business School to pursue his long pending desire of earning Senior Executive MBA and became an alumnus of one of the best Business Schools in the world.

Apollo Inffratech has become Apollo Inffratech Group, India’s most integrated concrete solutions provider in such a short span of time. Under his leadership the company has successfully diversified and expanded the business.

Parallelly to this, his eyes were constantly on Asphalt and Road equipment manufacturing. In the year 2020, along with his father Ajit Patel, he formally founded a company called Aptec Equipment Pvt. Ltd. to produce Mechanical Pavers, Sensor Pavers, Drum Mix Plant, Wet Mix Plant, Curb Pavers, Hydraulic Boomers etc.

However, the big breakthrough came when he struck a deal with a century-old Parker Plant of UK, and formed a JV company named Parker Plant India Pvt. Ltd. In 2022. The newly built modern manufacturing facility near Mehsana stands testimony to the commitment of Mitul Patel towards his country and countrymen.

During this exciting journey, he had been receiving accolades for his unparalleled contribution to the industry. Numerous awards were conferred upon him by various institutions of repute.

Apart from his marketing & management skills, his human resource management is also legendary. His customer centric and people-oriented approach has earned him long term relationships with in construction community.  He has a support base of employees, customers and vendors who are with him since the inception of the company.

He always focuses on employee skill development through upscaling programs and workshops at company’s knowledge center.

He desires to add the utmost value to the business of customers and aims to be their long-term partner by providing them with the most innovative and reliable products. He believes that in international markets, local manufacturing can compete only with world-class technology-oriented equipment solutions and continuous focus on innovation.

Today, as nation grows to become infrastructurally developed country his story has truly partnered in India’s growth story.   

The way he has been spearheading Apollo Inffratech Group as a managing director with his dynamic leadership qualities he will keep on scaling further heights of success in the future.
