What was your overall experience of the bauma Conexpo India 2023?

We were very excited to be participating in the 6th bauma Conexpo India 2023, especially after the four-year hiatus due to Covid. Being a powerful platform for the mining and construction industry, bauma Conexpo India brings together various segments of these sectors and provides a space for companies to display new technologies. This year, it was a delight to be a part of this exhibition, interact with other players in the industry and understand the new technologies in the market and the customers' needs. I believe that this will help us design products that will satisfy our customers.

Your participation in the expo was new to you? What did you learn and retain about the expo and the competitors?

This 6th edition of the exhibition happened after a four-year gap. Participating in this exhibition was important to us as it allows us to interact with other players in the industry and take a look at the new technologies being introduced. We also were able to interact with our customers and gain their feedback on our products and their upcoming needs and demands. These exhibitions help us to understand the market in a better format, build new relationships and design new products based on the feedback and needs of our customers.

How many products or services were displayed at the bauma Conexpo India 2023? How was the response?

We launched two ‘Made for India’ tires under the sub-brand EARTHMAX namely the EARTHMAX Crusher Haul & EARTHMAX SR 34, dedicated to the Indian construction and mining sector. Additionally, we displayed other tires too, so BKT displayed overall 5 mobility solutions for the OTR tire industry. These tires displayed at bauma CONEXPO India demonstrate our response to users’ needs, trends, and the market proposing suitable and specific solutions for all operating conditions.

To answer the second part of your question, this year almost all the big players were present there to display their newest technology products and services. The response to this expo was great, especially since all the companies had a four-year gap to understand the market and research into newer technologies.

Brief us in detail about your latest products displayed at the expo.

We are an agile company with a very strong R&D center. We are also a ‘Made In India’ brand that focuses on creating technologically driven mobility solutions for the OTR tire sector. We have been working hard these past few years to analyze the market for the upcoming demands and new technologies that will integrate into these sectors. Using this research, we have designed two new additions to our EARTHMAX series. One of these additions was the EARTHMAX Crusher Haul is designed for on and off-road - quarry and haulage applications. This all-steel Radial tire has a block-type tread pattern that provides excellent traction. The special compound ensures cut, chip, and wear resistance thus enhancing durability and mileage. The latest novelty by BKT, the EARTHAMX Crusher Haul is perfect for tippers in the industrial and construction segment and has been developed to suit longer haul with load due to the strong steel belt construction and casing.

Another new tire launched by us at the bauma Conexpo was the EARTHMAX SR 34 is an all-steel radial tire designed for mining applications. The ‘non-directional block’ tread pattern provides excellent traction and stability on any type of terrain. The strong all-steel casing features excellent wear and resistance to snags and punctures. The reinforced bead and shoulder design on EARTHMAX SR 34 contributes robust durability under heavy-duty service conditions. The latest novelty by BKT is ideal for wide-body mining trucks and can easily handle heavy loads.

Did your company engage in any stop-sales or contracting? If not, could you please notify us of any high-quality inquiries or future deals that come from the bauma Conexpo India 2023?

At this expo, we have been able to meet new potential clients and add to our client base.  However, it is too early to comment deals.

Trade fairs are an excellent place to interact with customers and other business leaders, gain product feedback and understand the needs and demands of the customers. This has helped us immensely in curating newer products with better technology that cater to the futuristic needs of our customers, helping us stay up-to-date with the latest technology while ensuring customer satisfaction. Additionally, it is also important to focus on designing and manufacturing the best quality products which will help build trust within the relationship with the client. Bauma Conexpo is a great platform to interact with other leading players within these segments and understand what your competitors are doing. This helps stir healthy competition within the sector to build better products and research newer and better technology.
