In your endeavour for customer –centric approach, what is the role of your academy?

The customer is at the centre of everything we do. Our training academy is no exception to this.  As an organisation, our emphasis is to enhance customer productivity. We look at our customers not as buyers, but as our partners in business. Thus, our slogan itself is “Productivity Partnership for a Lifetime”. All our training programs and academy outcomes focus on this.

Besides technical training, our training modules also include soft skills such as customer engagement and escalation handling. We train our users and support team members to think from the customer's  point of view.

Who is target audience for training?

Our training academy provides training to a wide array of people such as customer representatives, operators, technical supervisors, technicians, maintenance supervisors, electricians, project monitoring cell and so on.

The training modules are tailored to each category of people and aim to fully equip them on their areas of work.

We engage closely with the project monitoring cell to apprise them of global best practices so that they are kept abreast of the latest developments and machinery. This is an attempt to put India on a global road map in terms of using the latest technology in the construction industry.

What does Training to Operators, Customers, and Dealers include?

As stated above, the training modules are tailored to suit each job category. Typically, the training modules to operators, customers and dealers include topics such as technical training, “dos and don'ts,” application engineering, productivity measurements, project monitoring, quality improvements in the road construction process and the latest technology trends.

Going the extra mile, we also train on possible pitfalls in project execution and educate on how to pro-actively avoid such situations. For example, we train the operators and customers on pro-active maintenance of their machinery compared with the standard “break-fix” approach. This initiative from Ammann goes a long way in timely and flawless execution of the project for our customers.

While your company emphasises a “Make in India” policy, does your academy include the Skill-India program?

Yes, our training scope includes skilling people of India. We collaborate extensively with the Infrastructure Equipment Skill Council and work towards enhancing the availability of skilled people on-ground.

Do you have space for Operators coming from the underprivileged section of society or do you only train Operators employed with your buyers?

As a responsible corporate citizen, we do offer training programs beyond our user sponsored operators. There are certificate programs, open to all, for various levels such as Basic, Advanced and Expert
