Has the recent pandemic of Coronavirus made any difference in your and your team working style?
COVID 19 has been an unprecedented occurrence and has affected businesses worldwide. It has impacted multiple aspects of a business such as manufacturing, supply chain, sales etc. and each business has had to devise new strategies and protocols. To continue performing in the current scenario we had to find new ways of working as well. For instance, our employees have been working from home since the beginning of the lockdown and we adopted multiple online platforms to stay connected to them. For our dealers, we moved from a physical setup to webinars and online meetings in order disseminate latest product knowledge. Earlier our products were showcased at onground events, but currently we're creating new avenues to provide the same experience online. All our touch-points and processes have seen a huge shift and technology has been a great enabler in this time. These shifts have become the new normal for us and we will continue to improve upon them.
What do you think of the new normal from point of view from your segment?
This pandemic has been an unprecedented occurrence and has affected all businesses. It has made sure that businesses revamp all old protocols and strategies and create new ones. At CASE, we are nothing, if not agile. We adapted ourselves with this situation on the go and prepared ourselves to hit the ground running. So far, we've ensured all our workplaces are sanitized thoroughly and established strict and mandatory safety protocols. We've also issued guidelines to our employees and dealers keeping their health and safety in mind. We've adopted multiple online communication tools to stay in touch with them as well. As far as manpower is concerned, we value all our employees and we've taken serious efforts to ensure their financial and physical safety. For our customers, we've given loan extensions and support on warranties to ease out any pressure. We strongly feel that with these steps we're moving in the right direction. CASE has always been a future ready and a technology first company. We've had in-house manufacturing facilities even before the 'Make-in-India' movement gained prominence. Our plants in Pithampur, Pune and Noida locally produce our world-class construction equipment such as our renowned FPT engine etc.
Most of these practices which seem like a new normal, were already being followed before the pandemic. And for all the new protocols we've established, we'll continue improving them further and going forward this will be the dynamic path we walk on.
