The systems control the operating parameters of a crushing and screening line — feed rate, energy draw, product size, and throughput — adjusting them continuously in response to changes in feed and load that an operator cannot track by hand across a full shift. The automation does not remove the operator from the line: it takes over the constant real-time correction that holds output steady regardless of shift or operator experience, while the operator sets production targets and handles what the software does not — material changeovers, maintenance timing, and conditions outside the system's range.

Ma-Estro consolidates plant data in the Q-Portal platform, which a plant manager uses in daily operation to monitor production, energy use, and equipment status across shifts from a single interface, to compare performance between lines, and to identify a deviation — a rising energy draw, a falling throughput — before it becomes an unplanned stop. Performance on each installation is measured against those same figures: throughput, energy consumption per tonne, and downtime.

Ma-Estro 's control logic originated in Giorgio Manara's own quarry operations rather than in a development lab. Running a family plant where output was inconsistent and energy costs were rising, Manara built the first control systems to address problems he was facing directly, then assembled an engineering team to develop them into commercial products. He is now CEO of Ma-Estro Italy.

India's infrastructure investment has raised demand for crushing and screening capacity, and the sector still runs largely on manual plant control. As that changes, the operators who adopt process automation earlier accumulate the operating data and in-house competence that later adopters will still have to build. Ma-Estro selected the country for its next direct operation on that basis.

MA-ESTRO's Indian operations are led by Nehal Gajjar, who has worked in the Indian crushing and screening industry and is responsible for local engineering, installation, operator training, and after-sales support.
