bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2024, an International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Mining Machines and Construction Vehicles, held from December 11 to14, 2024, at the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida, has been a landmark in the nation's infrastructure journey. The 7th edition of bauma CONEXPO INDIA has set a transformative precedent for India's construction, mining, and infrastructure industries.

Spanning over 135,000 square metres of exhibition space, bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2024 showcased ground breaking innovations that drew more than 51,118 trade visitors from 83 countries. The trade fair facilitated 6,298 impactful buyer-seller meetings and unveiled more than 20,000 cutting-edge products and solutions, driving transformative advancements in India's infrastructure landscape. Bringing together 984 exhibitors, the trade fair created a dynamic platform for innovation, collaboration, and sustainable growth, cementing its stature as the largest construction trade fair in North India. These numbers underscore the event's critical role in powering India's infrastructure ambitions, aligning with the nation's aspirations to become a $5 trillion economy.

The trade fair was officially inaugurated by Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon'ble Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Government of India. He marked the occasion by lighting the ceremonial lamp.

Demtech India 2024 debuted as a collocated show, bringing a dedicated focus to the latest trends and advancements in demolition technology, further enriching the event's offerings. The NASSCOM Pavilion drew significant attention by spotlighting transformative innovations in construction technology and digital solutions. Meanwhile, the Finance Zone served as a vibrant networking hub, fostering valuable connections between industry stakeholders and leading financial institutions. Adding a global dimension, International Pavilions from countries like Germany, Italy, China, and South Korea, and many others showcased ground breaking technologies, offering attendees an unparalleled opportunity to explore diverse innovations.

With participation from international exhibitors and buyers, the trade fair positioned India as a global hub for construction innovation, inviting foreign investments and fostering cross-border collaborations. This edition was jointly organised by the Builders Association of India (BAI) along with the association partners Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers' Association (ICEMA). Buyer-Seller Forum

For the third time, bauma CONEXPO INDIA featured a Buyer Seller Forum. The Forum is inclined towards increasing the Return on Investment (ROI) for exhibitors and value for visitors giving them the additional chance to network with potential business partners. The dedicated meeting zone witnessed 6298 focussed meetings between buyers and manufacturers, dealers etc. Some of India's largest construction companies, from both the private and public sectors, participated as buyers in this forum.

Combined with the presence of finance companies at the exhibition, the Buyer-Seller forum helped close high-value deals and real business transactions for both demand and supply side parties. This edition once again proved the importance of Buyer-Seller forum as a platform for unlocking commercial deals for all participants.

At the live demo area visitors witnessed and explored new technology innovations from manufacturers and discover their latest products in action. Manufacturers like ACE, Doosan Bobcat, Volvo, Schwing Stetter, etc showcased their machinery and equipment live in action at the demo area.

TIL unveiled the Snorkel A62JRT articulating boom lift at Bauma ConExpo India 2024, marking its strategic entry into India's aerial work platform segment. The launch showcased TIL's commitment to expanding its product portfolio following its recent partnership with Snorkel Europe Limited.

The Snorkel A62JRT articulating boom lift represents a significant advancement in aerial work platform technology, offering a superior working envelope with zero tail swing. The machine delivers an impressive working height of 20.8m (67 ft. 8 in.) and features the largest platform in its class, accommodating two operators with tools. Its compact stowed length makes it exceptionally portable between job sites, while the oscillating front axle ensures steady performance on uneven terrain, making it ideal for India's diverse working environments.

Engineered for versatility and efficiency, the A62JRT comes equipped with multi-function proportional controls enabling precise operation and up-and-over capabilities. The machine's powerful 4-wheel drive system, combined with its robust construction, ensures reliable performance across challenging terrains. With a maximum working outreach of 11.1m and a platform capacity of 227kg, the A62JRT sets new standards in the articulating boom lift category.

Mahindra Launched Cutting-Edge CEV-V Range of Construction Equipment

Mahindra Construction Equipment Division (MCE), a part of the Mahindra Group, launched its latest offerings at BAUMA CONEXPO 2024, demonstrating their commitment to innovation and reliability. The new CEV5 range of Construction Equipment are set to redefine the standards in their respective categories, offering advanced features and compliance with the latest industry norms.

The New CEV5 range of Construction Equipment is an upgrade to existing Earthmaster – Backhoe Loader & Roadmaster – Motor Grader with the higher power of 74 HP & 102 HP engine with CEV 5 emission standards. The range is specially equipped with a larger, more comfortable cabin to enhance operator productivity

The MCE CEV5 Range debuted with two flagship offerings: The RoadMaster G100, the high-power Motor grader, is designed to meet the forthcoming CEV5 emission standards. Its 102 HP engine and 440 NM torque make it an excellent grader for road construction, especially on state and national highways. The new EarthMaster SX & SXe also complies with CEV5 emission regulations. Tata Motors Introduced A Comprehensive Range Of Advanced Aggregates

Tata motors introduced a comprehensive range of advanced aggregates, including CPCB IV+ compliant gensets, CEV BS V emission-compliant industrial engines, live axles, and trailer axles. These products are designed to meet the diverse demands of industries such as material handling, construction, industrial applications, and logistics.

Tata Motors Gensets: These CPCB IV+ compliant generators range from 25kVA to 125kVA and feature a Remote Monitoring System for improved performance and management.

Industrial Engines: The new engines meet CEV BS V emission standards and are available in power ranges from 55hp to 138hp, suitable for heavy-duty industrial applications.

Live Axles: Designed for high-tonnage construction equipment, these axles are built for exceptional durability and performance.

Trailer Axles and Components: The new 16mm thick trailer axle beams cater to the needs of heavy-duty commercial vehicles.

Apollo Tyres Unveiled New Radial Tyres

Apollo Tyres Ltd for the first time showcased radial tyres for the backhoe loaders, Apollo Terra Pro 1045, and another all-steel radial tyres for defence applications and multipurpose trucks, Apollo Terra MPT 1, at the Bauma ConExpo India 2024.

The Apollo Terra Pro 1045 is the first steel belted radial tyre for backhoe loader application in India, which is being introduced for use in toughest underfoot conditions. This tyre has been developed basis the customer feedback on need for puncture resistance, traction requirement in both the direction and varied underfoot condition. The Apollo Terra Pro 1045 offers several advantages, especially lower slippage in wet and dry conditions, due to its unique tread pattern design with multiple biting edges and self-cleaning ability.

The lower rolling resistance of Apollo Terra Pro1045 tyres results in better fuel efficiency due to the radial construction and stable hexagonal block design. The tailor-made compound with high wear and cut resistant properties provide higher tyre mileage. The flexible sidewalls, as compared to bias tyres, allows the tyre to better absorb road shocks and vibrations, providing a smoother ride. The steel belt under the tread enhances the tyres ability to resist penetration from sharp objects on the road.

Apollo Terra MPT 1, an all-steel radial tyre, is commonly used in defence applications and multipurpose trucks, due to its exceptional durability, reliability and performance in challenging and high-stress environments. The tyre features a self-cleaning tread pattern which excels in off-road conditions, while being silent and comfortable on highways. A specialised and durable compound ensures traction and life with enhanced wear resistance. The all-steel radial carcass construction ensures superior durability and stability when traversing varied inclines and loose surfaces including stones, soil and sands while still providing a comfortable and quiet ride when used on the road.

Propel Industries Launched the 470 eTR EV Tractor Trailer Truck

Propel Industries unveiled the 4×2 EV Tractor Trailer Truck – 470 eTR at bauma CONEXPO India 2024, to promote the use of electric vehicles to meet the sustainability needs of the logistics and construction industry in India.

The truck has a Gross Combination Weight (GCW) of 55 tons, making it an ideal choice for transporting large loads. Powered by a 350 kW electric motor delivering 2600 Nm of torque, the 470 eTR can handle heavy-duty tasks efficiently. It features a durable chassis and premium materials, ensuring long-lasting performance with minimal maintenance. In addition, the vehicle assures zero tailpipe emissions and paves the way for cleaner air and a healthier environment.

Equipped with high-capacity lithium-ion batteries, this truck offers an impressive range of up to 350 kms on a single charge. The fast-charging capability allows the batteries to reach 100% capacity in just 70 min (for 385 kWh battery), minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
